Beastmen
A warm, earthy speedpaint-heavy recipe for Beastmen — reddish skin, natural fur and horns, and weathered metals, finished off with fanatic highlights and a bit of AK fluo for the eyes.
Another speedpaint-led recipe, this time for a pack of Beastmen. The idea here is to do as much of the work as possible over a white (Wraithbone) prime using speedpaints, and then just pick out the details and pop the highlights with regular acrylics at the end.
Skin gets a base of Crusader Skin pushed into the shadows with Berserker Bloodshade, fur and leather go down in Satchel Brown over Bony Matter, and horns/bone get Pallid Bone over the top. The metals are Broadsword Silver, retouched and scratched with Plate Mail Metal for some visual interest and weathering, and the whole lot gets tied together with a Strong Tone wash.
The finishing touches are the eyes (AK Fluo Orange dotted and redotted with Brainmatter Beige), a red rusty base using Pro Acryl Red Earth texture paint, and Onyx Skin on the rims.
This is only a single step recipe as it's an import from my older notes with no step by step images :(
