STEP 1
Full Paint Recipe
Over a Wraithbone primed model:
- Paint skin, fur and hair in Crusader Skin (most of the model).
- Paint just the flesh areas with Berserker Bloodshade.
- Paint fur, hair, straps and pendants in Satchel Brown.
- Paint hooves, horns, bones and skulls in Bony Matter.
- Paint wood and straps in Dark Wood.
- Paint metals in Broadsword Silver.
- Paint cloth and open mouths in Murder Scene.
- Thin Murder Scene with water about 1:1 and apply to lips, noses, inner ears, and all skin areas that need definition (creases, shadows, areas where items overlap etc.).
- Paint bone, horns (again) and wrapping in Pallid Bone.
- Re-touch any metals with Plate Mail Metal.
- Pick out teeth, eyes and skulls, and add striations to horns with Brainmatter Beige.
- Stripes on lips, and highlight very few parts of skin with Doomfire Drab (eye lids, cheeks, muscle curves etc.).
- Super light drybrush fur, hair and wood with Mocca Skin, then Amber Skin; pick out dots of fur with Amber Skin afterwards.
- Rust areas in Fresh Rust (over rivets and in corners on metal).
- Paint rivets and scratches with Plate Mail Metal.
- Wash metals and wrappings with Strong Tone.
- Eyes in AK Fluo Orange, redot with Brainmatter Beige.
For the base:
- Bases in Red Earth (do this early as it takes ages to dry).
- Wash in watered down Satchel Brown.
- Rims in Onyx Skin.
